A few months ago, Erin put together an incredibly adorable party for her daughter, Emmie. What else would a 3-year-old want besides pony rides? So that’s what it was. Instead of opting for the more traditional cowgirl themed party, Erin styled it with a delicate shabby chic touch, using lovely floral patterns accented with a pink and teal color palette. Everyone had a great time with the ponies and the party turned out just perfect! We designed this party with the intent of making it into one of our own Hostess Kits. The linens, tableware, decor, banners – it’s all available in the Kit so you can create an equally adorable soiree. We love being able to show you how you can transform your Kit into a party of your own. Erin added the rope and plywood sign, bales of hay, and cowboy hats for guests, all of which really gave it her own darling look. Pinterest is always our BFF for inspiration. We pinned all the adorable details and ideas for the cowgirl/pony party there, and are always updating our boards with the newest trends.
Now some exciting news…our Shabby Chic Pony Party was chosen to be featured on Kara’s Party Blog! You can see many more photos from Emmie’s big day, as well as the actual feature on Kara’s Party Idea’s. Kara highlights her favorite details from the party, and we can’t disagree with her. I can’t decide which is my favorite though, there are just too many! Ok this may be a tad biased but besides the decor my favorite thing is seeing my lovely little niece having the time of her life. But she’s having such a good time because the party is just so irresistibly cute!

Since my niece was born, almost three years ago, I feel like time has flown by and she has grown up so quickly! First there was the “As cute as a button” celebration for her first year, then a Nemo inspired party when she turned two. Now we’ve been busy planning and creating her third birthday – A Pony Party! When we were younger, my parents had pony rides in my backyard for one of my birthdays – and it was awesome. My sister wanted to recreate this party for her daughter, but in a much more stylish manner, of course. We originally started brainstorming with the typical pink and brown vintage color scheme, and even though adorable, wanted to do something a little different. We wanted to make the focus on Gingham print and lace, giving it more of a shabby chic look with a soft hint of western. We are using a palette of pinks and blues that have a very pretty feminine and vintage feel. It has been so much fun bringing all these elements together. We wanted to share a sneak peek of the invite we’ve been working on. More pictures will be posted in a few weeks of the entire party, be sure to check back!
When one of Undercover Hostess’ favorite people, our friend Andrea, asked us to put together a package for her daughters first birthday, we jumped at the chance. Andrea fell in love with this party theme she saw on HWTM blog, Whimsical First Birthday Party, and after looking through the pictures we understand why. We loved the fun color scheme, and the precious combination of pinwheels & elephants. We decided to take this idea of Pinwheels & Elephants and make it our own, using pink, dark pink, teal & yellow, ribbons, and the mommy’s favorite pattern, chevron. We LOVE the impact the pink chevron tablecloth makes, and how adorable the printables turned out, especially the backdrop piece. Ashley outdid herself by creating this personalized focal point for the party.
We are thrilled with the outcome of this party, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! You too can throw a Pinwheels & Elephants party for your little girl as this package is available through our shop.
I was so excited for my little girl to turn two, and one of the great things about having a little girl is getting to style parties for them. Unfortunately, my daughter was OBSESSED, and when I say obsessed I am putting it lightly, with the movie Nemo at the time. Being that this party was about her, I decided to go with the Nemo theme this year and hope for a girly theme when she turns three. To keep the party from becoming to cheesy, I stuck mostly with colors and accented with a few of the animals from Nemo, like the clownfish, jellyfish and starfish. Once everything came together, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this clownfish theme. So much so that it is now available for purchase in our shop! Check out a few pictures from the party below.
